JAMIE graduated from University of Malaya in year 2004 and was admitted to the Bar in year 2005. In her early years of practice, she has handled banking litigation particularly in hire purchase and housing loans for financial institutions.
Between 2009 to 2012, JAMIE has also worked as a compliance officer in HWANGDBS Investment Bank Berhad where she has a proven background of carrying out compliance functions pertaining to securities laws, regulations, guidelines and company’s procedures. In addition, she assisted in establishing, reviewing and updating internal rules, policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and to meet best practice and industry standards. She vetted agreements such as sale and purchase agreement, tenancy agreement, non-disclosure agreement, service and maintenance agreement and share subscription agreement for the company.
JAMIE then practised as a Legal Assistant with MESSRS LIO & PARTNERS where she gained immeasurable knowledge and experience in conveyancing work especially development projects of commercial and residential units and sub -sale cases.
JAMIE handles conveyancing, conventional bank loan documentations in the area of consumer loans as well as commercial / corporate loans and security documentation for Islamic financing. Recently, JAMIE has undertaken transactions relating to initial public offerings.
JAMIE is a registered company secretary with the COMPANIES COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA (SSM).
GUAT CHIN obtained her LL.B (Hons.) degree from the University of Malaya and she was admitted to the Bar in year 2008. GUAT CHIN was previously practising as a Legal Assistant with MESSRS LIO & PARTNERS.
Throughout the years, GUAT CHIN developed vast experience on laws on property developments. She is an expert in development projects of residential and commercial properties and banking law for financing of construction of housing and commercial projects including facilities granted to individuals, corporations and foreigners.
GUAT CHIN is also involved in advising and acting for individuals and corporations on leases and tenancies. She is also sought after by corporate companies in drafting corporate agreements such as joint ventures, share sales and shareholders agreement.
XIN YIN obtained her LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of London and she was admitted to the Bar in year 2011. Her legal career began in MESSRS SAN & ASSOCIATES before joining the Firm as a partner.
XIN YIN advised and acted for local and foreign individuals and corporations in the purchase of development and industrial lands, residential and commercial properties including drafting of the relevant sale and purchase agreements, applications to the relevant authorities to the completion of the sale or purchase of the lands.
She has extensive experience in advising housing developers on laws of property development. Apart from the above, XIN YIN also gained significant experience in advising and acting for leading banks loan documentations including financing construction of housing and commercial properties.
She is developing a practice covering corporate agreements amongst others joint ventures, tenancies and leases and also share sales and shareholders agreement including due diligence in relation thereto.
She practices in the area of property developments, banking and finance, corporate and commercial and real estate.
LAY SEE obtained her LLB from University of Malaya and was called to the Bar in year 2012. Prior to joining us, she was practising as a legal assistant in MESSRS. LIO & PARTNERS handling conveyancing works for reputed developers. LAY SEE is currently heading the Kuala Lumpur branch.
Apart from representing individuals on their conveyancing transactions, LAY SEE also represents clients in drafting of commercial agreements such as investment and shareholders agreement. She practices in the area of property developments, real estate and banking and finance.
WEN JIAN obtained his law degree from Multimedia University and was called to the Bar in August 2019. He chambered in Messrs Wong & Loh and subsequently joined as legal assistant. During his pupillage, he has handled conveyancing matters including sub-sale and tenancy. He has also handled intellectual property matters as well as civil litigation such as probate and bankruptcy.
CELYNN obtained her law degree from Multimedia University and was called to the Bar in August 2019. She chambered in Messrs Wong & Loh and subsequently joined as legal assistant.
She handles conveyancing matters including sub-sale, tenancy agreement and banking and finance.
